01 Remote Wireless Patient Monitoring System

Abstract
One of the medical devices we found when we visit a hospital care unit such device is ‘patient monitoring system’. This device (patient monitoring system) informs doctors and nurses about the patient’s physiological signals. However, this device (patient monitoring system) does not have a remote monitoring capability, which is necessitates constant onsite attendance by support personnel (doctors and nurses). Thus, we have developed a Remote Wireless Patient Monitoring System using some biomedical sensors and Android OS, which is a portable patient monitoring. This device(Remote Wireless Patient Monitoring System) monitors the biomedical signals of patients in real time and sends them to remote stations (doctors and nurse’s android Smartphone and web) for display and with alerts when necessary.
Wireless Patient Monitoring System different from conventional device (Patient Monitoring system) in two aspects: first its wireless communication capability allows physiological signals to be monitored remotely and second, it is portable so patients can move while there biomedical signals are being monitor. Wireless Patient Monitoring is also notable because of its implementation.

02 Design of Compact, Multi Band Frequency Selective Surface

Abstract
In this paper, a novel compact Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) resonating at four frequencies is designed. The proposed FSS is 92.7% compact compared to what is acheived in conventional design method using a simple square patch without slot. Transmission properties of the designed FSS is theoretically derived by Method of Moment. Simulated results of the transmission coefficients are obtained using the ANSOFT® designer software. Experimental investigations are done using standard microwave test bench. The designed FSS can be used in microwave ovens, optical communication, radio astronomy, amateur radio, radar, Satellite Communication and mobile communication.

03 Finger Gesture Control Computer Mouse With Image Processing

Abstract
Human–Computer Interaction (HCI) uses of the interfaces between people (users) and computers. In this paper, I have tried to control the mouse cursor movement and clicks events (Left & Right click) of the computer mouse using finger motion and gestures. Finger gestures were acquired using a camera based on skin detection algorithm with different angle detected images. This method mainly focuses on the use of Web-Camera to create a cost effective virtual mouse using webcam with image processing.

04 Dynamic Power Reduction Using Clock Gating: A Review

Abstract
The clock pulses are responsible for up to 70 % of dynamic power dissipation in a synchronous circuit. The synchronous design operates at high frequency that drive a large load because it has to reach many sequential elements throughout the chip. Thus clock has been a great source of power dissipation because of high frequency and load. Clock signal do not perform any computation and mainly used for synchronization. Hence these signals are not carrying any information. So by using clock gating one can save power by reducing unnecessary clock activities inside the gated module. In this paper we go through various clock gating schemes.

05 Efficient Speaker Identification Using Artificial Neural Network

Abstract
Speech is the main communication method between human beings. Sincethe time of the invention of the computer people have been trying to let the computer understand natural speech. Speaker recognition is a technology which has close connections with computer science, signal processing, voice linguistics and intelligent systems. Neural network is a technology which tries to mimic human brain functions. With the development of neural network these past few decades, using neural network in speech and speaker recognition has become very popular and successful. In this paper the main procedures that include signal pre-processing, feature extraction, neural network design and implementation, are introduced. The Mel Frequency Cepstrum Coefficients (MFCC)is the best available approximation of human ear features. Back propagation neural network is used to design the recognition system. Moreover an implementation has been made in Matlab platform. The experiment results show that the system works well and it can be improved by using more training samples. This research gives a good foundation for future implementation on a real-time DSP system.

06 Blind ISI Correction In Digital Channel Using Constant Modulus Algorithm

Abstract
This work presents the channel noise correction in the presence of ISI using Constant Modulus Algorithm (CMA). An analytical approach of blind ISI correction based on adaptive algorithm is reviewed, highlighting the effects of noise on signal constellation and its suppression on minimum mean square error (MMSE) technique for a digital communication AWGN channel with QPSK modulation scheme.

07 QoS Routing and Load Balancing in MPLS/GMPLS Networks: A Survey

Abstract
This paper presents a review of QoS (Quality of Service) Routing algorithms and Load Balancing Techniques in MPLS Networks. MPLS has high lightened as the most promising technology for the internet to provide the speed and bandwidth guaranteed services. It is good to apply MPLS in an internet environment to make it efficient and get more customer satisfaction while using internet. In this paper focus is on various techniques of Load Balancing and QoS Routing, when network resources are insufficient to accommodate the offered load then load congestion exists. It means that the system is fully occupied and the new incoming call undergoes in blocking state.

Abstract
In 21th century most useful thing in human life is electricity. In today’s world, most of the work is done by automatic system. Conventional electrical distribution system operates manually, where providing billing information &manually receiving report of any problem becomes easy. Due to manual operation some problems are caused like theft of electricity, long time required to get solution of simple problem if electricity cut-off occurs or power line breaks then we can’t get immediately the solution on that. People have to go to the distribution office and report about it. And after that electricity management team takes action on that. This consumes a list of time.

09 Design and Simulation of Hyperthermia Antenna

Abstract
This paper proposes the design and simulation of a rectangular microstrip patch antenna for hyperthermia applications. Using electromagnetic simulations we optimized the dimensions of a probe-fed patch antenna design for operation at 2.45 GHz. This antenna is having the thickness of 1.6mm FR-4 substrate, is a probe feed and has a full ground plane. It has been used as hyperthermia applicators in the treatment of cancerous human cell satsuperficial depths inside the body. On the basis of the study at 2.45GHz, we anticipate good central interference of the fields of multiple antennas and conclude that this patch antenna design is very suitable for the clinical antenna array. Simulation results for antenna design optimization is carried out using Ansys HFSS.The design and the results are shown and discussed in this paper.

10 Generation of Radiation Patterns from Array of Vertical Dipoles Embedded in Different Dielectric Slabs

Most of the works are centered around the generation of radiation patterns from array of dipole in free space. But in this paper array of vertical dipole embedded in a different dielectric slabs with and without ground plane is considered. Vertical dipole array embedded in different dielectric materials with different slab thickness is considered. The patterns from such arrays are realized and the results are useful for ground and Airborne applications.

11 Review of Data Communication in Wireless Fading Channel and a Case Study

Abstract
The Rotation and Component Interleaving Diversity (RCID) is an important technique used to enhance the performance of wireless digital communication system over the fading environments. RCID technique is accomplished by rotation of signal constellation and using interleaver and de-interleaver at the transmitter and at the receiver side, respectively. In this article, we study the factors causing fading in channel, and discuss the techniques to combat the fading effect. Also we review here different types of fading models and improvement of the system performance using RCID technique.

12 Studies onChange in Position of Radiating Plane and Position of Feed Point on Antenna Characteristics

Abstract
In this article, the effect of different positions of radiating plane with respect to ground plane as well as effects of position of feed point on antenna characteristics arestudied. The feed position is gradually changed and the readings are noted and then for the optimum feed point the position of the radiating patch are changed and the readings are noted. They are studied to find a relation between them and also to find the optimum value. The simulations are done by MOM based Ansoft (Designer) software.

13 High Speed Power Efficient Static Single Edge Triggered Storage Element with Reduced Clocked Transistors

Abstract
The paper proposed a new high performance and power efficient static single-edge triggered clocked storage element. In this work, comparative analysis of two existing flip-flop designs along with the proposed design is made. Among all flip-flops compared, the proposed flip-flop consumes the lowest power when input is idle having up to 70.44% improvement in average power consumption and the second lowest power for other data activities. The proposed flip-flop shows the shortest delay having up to 34.66% improvement in delay and the lowest PDP having up to 37.22% improvement in PDP. The proposed flip-flop also has the lowest number of clocked transistors. So, the proposed flip-flop is best suited for low power and high performance applications.
